Benedick the Bastard is a drag king, comedian, and theatre artist based in Brooklyn, NY. He began drag in Boston, MA before eventually moving to New York City in 2024.

Benedick’s visual style is heavily influenced by Shakespearean art and Elizabethan men’s fashion, harkening back to the era where men were inherently the more glamorous gender. His work pulls from this and other historical periods, specifically his own childhood nostalgia of the late 2000s and 2010s.

Benedick frequently performs and produces throughout the five boroughs and beyond. He has performed on stages such as: Bushwig 14, Thrustfest 2026, 3 Dollar Bill New Year’s Eve 2026, Halloween 2025, and Pride 2026.

He received his BFA in Theatre Education and Performance from Emerson College in 2023. He is a licensed K-12 Theatre educator in the states of Massachusetts, Connecticut, and New York.
